FAQ

I need my items back quickly. How long does blade sharpening take?

We aim to have all items sent to us sharpened and returned within 24-48 hours of receipt.

If you need your items back sooner, please contact us and we'll always do our best to meet your needs.

I live in York, can I drop my items off for sharpening in person?

Of course! Just ring the bell to speak to one of our friendly members of staff.

If you'd like us to sharpen while you wait, please call ahead first to check our availability.

We can usually accommodate walk-ins, but you may need to return later in the day or the next to collect your items.

How do I set up a trade account?

Our trade accounts are best suited for dog and other animal groomers.

If that's you, we'd love to get you set up! You can register for your account here.

What if I need something sharpening that's not listed on your website?

There's not much we can't handle! Just give us a call or send an email.

My blades have just been sharpened, why is my clipper still dragging?

Sounds like there's a problem with the clipper itself. Send it in for a service.

Can I send you my clipper for servicing using one of your Freepost labels?

Please don't. The postal service is never 100% reliable, and we'd hate for something so valuable to get lost. We take no responsibility for any items sent to us using our Freepost service.

How do I use your Freepost sharpening service?

Send us an email or click here to get our Freepost labels, which you can print and affix to a parcel of your items for sharpening. We'll contact you for payment after your items have been sharpened.

How do I book my dog in for a trim?

Simply Sharp is not a grooming salon! We're a blade sharpening service and grooming product supplier.

None of us have ever groomed a dog before, and we suspect you wouldn't like the result if we practised on yours.
